About Us
We desire to be known by the love we have for one another
Winyo Community Church of Christ exists to serve God in the Winyo Community and beyond by encouraging others through a life changing Christian journey. We desire to be known by the love we have for one another and are determined to make disciples of Christ through life-on-life experience empowered by the Holy Spirit for the glory of God. Every member of our Church family is encouraged to follow Jesus by forming his/her life around Christ and being committed to the commands of Christ as inspired in the Holy Scriptures.
Our Core Values
We believe that the Church is a family
We love welcoming people home as they become a part of our Church Community. Our passion is to see people have a vibrant relationship with God through his son Jesus Christ. We uphold the Lordship of Jesus Christ in the life of every believer. We therefore subscribe to the these seven spiritual core values:
We believe as Christians that we are called to demonstrate the character of a servant leader just as Christ demonstrated according to the gospel of John chapter 13. Jesus washed the feet of his disciples. He is our master, but he took the place of the lowest servant by washing the feet of his disciples. We too are called to serve each other irrespective of our positions in the Body.
We affirm the centrality of the Bible, God’s Word, in our preaching and teaching. The Bible is the authority for our faith and life as a church (2Timothy 3:16). We are committed to equipping people with the Bible instruction that addresses the opportunities and challenges of everyday life and calls on people to follow Jesus in every sphere of their lives.
We are committed to the fulfillment to the Great Commission of Jesus Christ to go and make disciple of all nations by Baptizing them in the Name of the Father, the Son, and of the Holy Spirit and teaching them to Obey Everything He has commanded us (Matthew 28:18-20). God wants to use us where we live and work to share His word.
We affirm the Lordship of Jesus Christ (Colossians 2:9) and His Leadership as the head of our church (Ephesians 1:22; 5:23). As a church, as an individual, and as a ministry, we submit our will to His authority.
We believe all followers of Jesus Christ are called to grow in their faith and to become like Him. Therefore, we are committed to helping and equipping believers to grow to spiritual maturity through training in theological studies, discipleship, discovery Bible study (DBS) and encouragement in church visitation.
We are called to be good stewards as children of God. We believe in treating all God’s people equally with Godly love. As Christian we are called to give God the glory by offering our bodies as the Holy Temple of God (1 Corinthians 6:15). And we commit to keep our bodies pure.
We uphold the undivided allegiance to the Body of Christ, and a desire to live at peace with each and every member of the Church (Romans 12:18). Unity provides us with clarity in playing and serving in a coherent and a smooth flow of activities showing Christ’s love (John 17:20-23). We seek to be unified in our services to the Body with understanding that we are not called to be uniform, but can pull together in a unified spirit.
Our Vision
The Vision of Winyo Community Church of Christ is to have tangible outreach to the people of the community and beyond in fulfillment of Christ’s command to love all people unconditionally to worship God and serve him according to biblical principles. We do this by sharing the Good News through life-on-life experiences and encourage scriptural teaching. This is done through effective Discovery Bible Study (DBS) Method and attending weekly worship gathering.
Our Mission
We exist to glorify God and to equip all Christians in their walk of faith so as to win lost souls to Christ by all possible godly means. Our purpose is to spread the Good News of Jesus Christ to others in and around Winyo Community so that they too might enjoy God’s saving grace through His Word.

Our Statement of Faith
(adapted from the fourth-century Constantinopolitan Creed)
We believe in One God; the all-powerful, ruling Father, creator of heaven and earth, of all things visible and invisible;
And in One Lord Jesus Christ; the only Son of God, begotten by the Father before all time, Light from Light, true God from true God, begotten not created, of the same nature as the Father, through Whom all things came into being, Who for us human beings and because of our salvation came down from heaven, and was incarnate by the Holy Spirit and the virgin Mary and became human. He was crucified for us under Pontius Pilate, and suffered and was buried, and rose on the third day, according to the Scriptures, and ascended to heaven, and sits at the right hand of the Father, and will come again with glory to judge living and the dead. His Kingdom shall have no end;
And in the Holy Spirit; the Lord and life-giver, Who proceeds from the Father, Who is worshipped and glorified together with the Father and the Son, Who spoke through the prophets; Who today empowers believers with various gifts for the building up of the Body of Christ;
And in One, Holy, Universal, and Apostolic Church; we accept one baptism [immersion of believers in water] for the forgiveness of sins. We are committed to the church’s mission from Christ to make disciples in all nations. We believe the Bible to be inspired by God and we follow it as our only rule in faith and practice. We look forward to the resurrection of the dead and the life of the world to come.
Amen
